Our MultiPay products for housing

Through our site or API, you can easily handle Direct Debit for any amount, day, and frequency. Clients can import and export Direct Debit mandates and make high-volume modifications like payment dates and rent amounts using the site. This can also be facilitated by the APIs, to automate the change process. Clients can create 12 recurring and future-dated schedules per mandate. The portal also provides a full suite of reports, including A-series data, Direct Debit failures, cancellations, and impending payments to manage income. Via the API, clients can simply send PayPoint an API call with customer collection dates. Customers can self-sign up and manage their Direct Debit using the API on the client websites.

PayPoint can automate the handling of failed Direct Debits through our exceptions management process. We can automatically send PayByLinks directly to your customers requesting the outstanding amounts before your teams need to pick up the phone or send letters.

This type of credit transfer is more straightforward than traditional card payments and is a simple and seamless way to securely transfer money between banks. As an Open Banking-enabled method, it can reduce online payment costs for our housing clients.

As an open banking solution provider, we take security seriously. This service helps you avoid making accidental, misdirected or potentially fraudulent payments and ensures you always collect payments from the correct account.

MultiPay offers your customers a range of credit and debit card channels to pay through, as well as the ability to set up recurring card payments and instalment plans. MultiPay is available through our APIs, allowing clients to embed card payment journeys within their own customer-facing channels. Alternatively, clients can use our white-label channels, where we build, brand and host a variety of channels on the client’s behalf. These channels can include app, web, IVR, SMS and PayByLink.

Using our innovative Account Information Tool, we can support our clients with income and expenditure checks at the beginning of a tenancy or support customers in financial distress with consent-led access to their financial information. We provide helpful reporting such as affordability scores, committed and necessary expenditures, and much more, to give an accurate and easy-to-consume view of their financial position.

Clients will have access to PayPoint’s 30,000-strong retail network to enable their customers to pay in cash, using payment media such as a plastic card, barcoded letter, or digital barcode.

To complete our suite of APIs, we offer an event streamer that provides real-time transaction data to Housing Management Systems, CRM platforms or finance & accounting systems. We can send the data you require to multiple endpoints and update the windows your teams are already using, immediately.

Take payments over the phone in a PCI-compliant way through our DTMF call-masking solution. Sensitive card data is entered into the customer’s own device via the keypad, while your agent guides them through, viewing their progress via the portal.

Take payments over the phone via our virtual terminal solution. The virtual terminal enables client's agents to take the customer's card details and process the payment for them. 

Make payments to customers directly into their verified bank accounts, without having to store their bank details. Payments can be up to £1,000 and sent by post, email or SMS.

Our voucher system allows cash payments of up to £100 to be collected by customers in more than 30,000 UK PayPoint stores. These vouchers can also be sent by post, email or SMS.

PayPoint’s single client portal enables access to real-time transaction data, without the need for any integration work. You can view detailed information on when payments are made, when failures occur, and the most popular channels. Additionally, our portal provides access to PayByLink, Virtual Terminal, Direct Debits, recurring card management, and much more.
